About Us

Michelle Burkheimer and Carol Vipperman

We have known each other and worked together on many global projects for over two decades. We have witnessed and experienced challenging situations that would have tested the best in all of us, but through all of this we have become not only friends, but respected business partners with diverse skills and interests. That is why we are so excited about working together on CameraWalking.

Everyone knows that we need to get more exercise. Most of us face the daily challenge of finding the time, or the inclination to do it. We know, we are two of those people.

Some people love walking, while others like us had to warm up to it. Michelle discovered that if she was going to really include walking in her daily schedule, it had to have value added! Carol committed to walking but when the weather was tough her commitment evaporated. She found that taking a camera was the trick. Michelle discovered that with a camera, she is excited to get outside and moving. This is how CameraWalking was born.

I am walking about 5 days a week. It has changed my life. I started about a year ago and have trimmed down nicely. I still want to lose more weight so I will continue my journey to walk! I have taken many photos on my walks too. I have several of those shots on my blog dispersed in different posts. Here is one of my posts that shows off some of my photos! I am no professional but I enjoy sharing: http://alesiablogs.wordpress.com/2013/09/02/greenlake-part-ii/

    Hi Carol
wow, you have come a long way since the Mount Rainier workshop with Rick and Juan back in 2011. I was pretty new and raw too. NIce to see your passion is going strong. We are now full time in RV. http://pluskent.com details our circumnavigation over past year. Currently in Tucson area. Saw Juan last October back in Maine. Love your black and white challenge pix. Go Girl! See you some day again up in Puget sound unless you are down in the desert during the winter months like us. (PS you might recognize my avatar shot by Juan when we were on Sunrise ridge).

    Joy to you
    Kent Williams

    • Hi Kent, it is good to hear from you! Thanks for your kind words about what I am doing – it is fun! I have continued doing workshops with Rick, which has brought be along quite a bit. How fun that you are making your way around the country. Let’s keep in touch.
