CameraWalking is catching on as more people are grabbing their cameras and using them to get out the door for exercise. We recently received some photos and a request to establish a CameraWalking group in Hokkaido, Japan.
“Today I walked around my university campus with camera. Yes! That is Camera Walking! I usually ride on bike on campus, but I walked around today. I noticed that I’ve missed a lot of good opportunities for photos since riding on bike is speedy and just looking ahead.(Of course I love bicycle though.) It was good experience for me to rediscover how enjoyable taking photo is.” Sanae Yorozu
Here are some photos she shared as she was getting a friend to join her.
When you are out walking with a group of friends you can have great fun taking pictures of them as you go along.
There is such variety when you decided to look for the shots along you walk. These two pictures show the beauty of the places Sanae sees every day.
We have a new Camera Walker that has joined in from Portland, Oregon.
Alicia Landon shared some of the best spots for walking AND taking pictures. Take a look at these sites:
Alicia is gathering friends to join her for walks with their cameras and help CameraWalking expand to Portland. If you are in the Portland area, don’t hesitate to get some exercise in these wonderful areas OR share the places you have been. We would love to hear from you
We still have great weather ahead and will likely have lots of perfect days for walking as we move into fall. Look at setting your sights on a creative walking plan that includes a camera. Join with our many Camera Walkers to get moving and see your walks as a chance to see your world differently! We love the photos that people are sharing as they join in with CameraWalking.
You can share your walks on our Facebook page or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Let us know where you have walked and send us a few pictures you want to share. Encouraging others in your area to explore and get exercise with their cameras is what CameraWalking is all about.
We want to showcase your pictures and hope it will excite you to join this movement!
